      Nice size den for our big dogs

      "I love the size of this cage for our big dogs. It is a good quality solid wood. We have used this beside our couches for our dogs to sleep in, and to go in when we have get-togethers. We have even used it as a game table. The air flow is good and the cage looks 1000 times better than those old metal cages. However there are a few things that could use improvement... there is no bottom, and the tray feels like styrofoam, not a good quality solid plastic, so I wouldn't trust my dog not to chew this up. We use a dog bed instead. Also, this must be only used for dogs who don't chew or dig, as they would destroy this. However, for the well behaved dogs, with a different tray, this is nice." - Review posted on Homedepot.com

      "Wish the crate was slightly bigger. It just barely fits a medium size dog bed. Our dog seems to enjoy the crate though and it looks much nicer than the standard wire crates. BE ADVISED. The tray provided is FOAM. It is NOT like the plastic trays that come with the metal wire crates.

      Attractive and Functional Crate

      "This is a great crate. Assembly was straightforward, took about 20 minutes. I had one of my kids help me but the help I needed was minimal and brief--in a bind you could probably do it by yourself. It feels pretty sturdy. I was a little surprised that it doesn't really have a bottom. There is a plastic tray that you sit on the bottom but it doesn't sit in a wooden, metal, etc. bottom that is attached to the sides. The plastic is sort of like a pliable foam. We immediately put our dog's bed over it but I could see him being attracted to chewing something of this material. That said, with a bed/cushion on top, he's oblivious to it and besides having something there to protect the floor we don't necessarily need it. For us, throwing a bed or mat in there is just fine. Plenty of ventilation, but a little more closed off and darkened than a standard wire crate. This is perfect for our dog who loves a cave-like space. He goes in there on his own just to rest. So far we are very pleased with both the aesthetic and the function. The wood and finish was a higher quality than I anticipated." - Review posted on Homedepot.com

      Great for what I need

      "Overall I really like this cage. It's very large for my little dog but its what i was looking for to create a little kingdom for her. It was so easy to put together and only took me about 1 hour total time from opening the box to cleaning up trash. It seemd to be very sturdy and claims to hold a bit of weight. I only gave 4 stars for the fact that the base tray is styrofoam. I was really expecting a wood tray with a plastic liner or even just a hard plastic tray like all the others. I think this is a hazard for dogs if they decide to chew it. I simply removed mine and decided to replace it with a blanket and orthopedic pillow. It was a little more of a cost but my pup is happy with it. I added a little more flare and made curtains for it and attached a small rod to give her some privacy and uninterrupted down time. There are slots on the sides and a grated front which allow for plenty of airflow which is great. I would definitely purchase another." - Review posted on Homedepot.com

      Great Crate That Looks Good in a Living Room

      "This has been a great crate pretty much all around. The fit and finish of the parts is as good as any piece of furniture I have ever assembled and it took 20 minutes to put together. It's only quirk is it is an odd-size compared to other crates which made buying a replacement tray a bit of a challenge because Trinity does not appear to sell replacement trays (which, by the way, my dog destroyed almost immediately). I suggest using the same material other crate manufacturers use because my dog didn't attack the trays in other crates or the replacement tray I bought for this crate. Overall, though, we are very happy with this replacement for our wire crate.
