Living Our Purpose in a Different Way

Living Our Purpose in a Different Way

Isn’t it easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season? As soon as Thanksgiving is over (and sometimes even before it), the volume seems to get turned up to go, go, go. It seems there’s so many places to go, people to see, and presents to buy.

We at TRINITY can get caught up in the hectic pace too. After all, we want to make sure you get the tools you need to feel organized and in control during the holiday season (and all year long).

But for one day last month, we stopped the presses to take some time to live out our company’s mission in a different way. All of our employees came together to pack boxes for Operation Christmas Child.

A program of international relief agency Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child distributes shoebox-sized packages of toys, school supplies and hygiene items to children in need. Since 1993, 209 million children in more than 170 different countries and territories have received these packages.

Samaritan’s Purse oversees the delivery and logistics, but they rely on individuals, familiesand organizations to purchase gifts and do the packing. For 10 years now, we’ve helped supply and pack some of those boxes. And this year, our

teams in Carson, California to Atlanta, Georgia and New Castle, Delaware to Quinlan, Texas gathered to pack 300 boxes. Each box included stuffed animals, stickers, crayons, coloring books, pencils, toothbrushes, combs, soap, and more.

So, what does all this have to do with TRINITY’s mission? Our driving force is improving the lives of those we touch. On any given day, that usually means our customers, our retailers, our employees, and even our beloved planet. But participating in programs like Operation Christmas Child help us impact people’s lives in a different way.

The kids who receive these boxes may be suffering from war, poverty, natural disasters, disease or famine. They might not know where their next meal is coming from, much less have access to toys, games or personal care items.

So taking part in Operation Christmas Child has become a popular annual tradition at TRINITY. It’s a wonderful way to take part in a worldwide gift-giving initiative. These packing events also give our team the chance to slow down, gather together, and get into the spirit of the season.

We wish all of that for you this holiday season as well. From our team to yours, Happy Holidays!
