"This replaces a moldy kitchen island that had to be removed. I wasn't happy with the replacement cabinet options available. All the pieces required were adding up to a huge expense. Finally, I realized I just want a big table to work on, like when I made pizza. Turns out its much cheaper, even with buying storage bins to keep stuff dust free on the shelf. We couldn't find the directions, but it was kind of self explanatory. After we assembled it the first time, and the shelf fell down, we found the set screws in the packing material. That made a huge difference! We cranked them down tightly and everything was much more stable. The surface looks nice and clean, but shows fingerprints, so I might have to clean more often. Not really a bad thing in the kitchen. Much more sanitary than the old countertop, with tile glued around the edge. I never felt like those corners were truely clean." - Review posted on Lowes.com
